This 1.5 hour webinar session will explore:
Erin will be sharing practice principles, models and key components of supported education. She will be combining supported education with supported employment. The presentation will be composed of research outcomes, practice consideration and Erin will be sharing a case study of one of the program's clients.
Learning Objectives:
- Webinar participants will be able to identify 6 key components of supported education
- Webinar participants will be ablt to briefly describe 5 research outcomes that demonstrate the effectiveness of supported education.
- Webinar participants will be able to explain how supported education and supported employment can be complementary services.
- Webinar participants will be able to dentify 3 practice considerations for service delivery within a local context.
About The Presenter:
Erin Goodman is an occupational therapist. She has worked in community mental health practice for over a decade. Her mission is to support individuals with mental health challenges achieve goals related to wellness, education and employment. She supports them to move towards full community integration, and recovery. Currently, Erin is the lead for the Youth & Young Adult Program (YYAP) at Gastown Vocational Services, VCH.
The BC PSR Advanced Practice is pleased to offer this session as part of the supported education series. Our presenters shared practice principles, models and key components of supported education.
