We are very excited to be hosting a webinar with author and speaker Todd Leader!

We are thrilled and honoured to have Todd as a guest presenter!

If you want to get past theory and really improve your skills and effectiveness as a leader, this is a webinar for you. Todd's mission is all about transforming systems to be client-centered. His message  is change-oriented, not knowlege-oriented. Todd has helped make some major changes in mental health and addiction services in the South Shore of Nova Scotia and has supported organizations across the country.

Todd travels nationally, teaching leaders and organizations to examine the way they provide services. His message is all about systems transformation and improving the client experience.

You can purchase a copy of Todd's book "It's Not About Us" HERE!

It’s Not About Us is a guide to improving the client experience with the mental health and addiction system across Canada. It examines the traditional and current pathology-oriented medical model, within which all of our services are built, and looks at how that model actually prevents the transformation we need. This book presents a new way to think about what it means to be client-centered, not only at an individual level, but also at the level of system-design and operation.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will understand the difference between client-centered care and client-centered systems in which the care is provided.

  • Participants will understand some of the unique client-centered system changes needed in the field of mental health and addiction.

  • Participants will learn a simple method for testing current system components, and improving their client-centeredness.
